With spring, Chianti multiplies the appointments not to be missed. The weekend of May 26 and 27 is very rich in events of all kinds, for all tastes: let's discover them together.
First of all, in San Casciano will be held "Terre di Maggio", an initiative organized by the Pro Loco that involves various nurseries in the area.
The center of the village will be filled with roses and aromatic plants, the shop windows will host an exhibition of floral dresses, Piazza della Repubblica will become "Educational Farm" and the walls of the center will be the scenario of the Festival of Frattaglie, featuring this typical Tuscan street food.
But it does not end here: there will be flavors and scents of Chianti, a craft workshop in Via Machiavelli and many works of art in the streets of the historic center.
Moving to Radda in Chianti, this weekend will take place the 2018 edition of "Radda nel Bicchiere", an opportunity to taste the magnificent wines of this small, ancient village. Thirty producers, one hundred labels. A festival dedicated to wine, to be discovered by getting lost in the historical, fascinating medieval streets of Radda.
Still on the subject of wine, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th there will be the scene of one of the most important Italian events in the sector:
" Cantine Aperte (Open Cellars)", which takes place throughout Italy since 1993 and allows all fans to explore the cellars affiliated to Wine Tourism Movement, getting to know the producers, tasting and buying. A real mecca for wine tourists! Finally, with the occasion, photography enthusiasts will be able to take a trip to Castelnuovo Berardenga, where until June 30th at the Museo del Paesaggio there will be the exhibition "Utopie Campestri" by Niccolò Kirschenbaum, focusing on the sense of memory hidden in the landscapes Tuscan, stripped of the purely "aesthetic" aspect and brought back to their deepest identity.
